There is something about making it six weeks with a newborn that is an accomplishment. Our brother-in-law Joe (and baby Sam’s middle-name-sake) gave us the phrase “the new normal” and it usually takes about 6 weeks of attending to the little one to discover who he is and who we are with him. Our mornings are filled with coffee, tea, toast, and homemade jam (thanks Nana Paschall); we watch Marley and Me probably once or twice a day, or maybe we’ll mix it up with Finding Nemo, playing trains, and I do work somewhere in there, also Anjuli amazingly finds the time to take some beautiful pictures.
